About me
Ahoj a vitaj! I'm Ingrid.
Most people learn Slovak for very personal reasons love and family. That's why I started teaching my mother tongue: to help you feel at home in Slovak, not just in lessons but in your relationships and everyday life.
I'm a native Slovak speaker with a Master's in Translation and Interpreting (English and French) and years of experience teaching in language schools. But don't let the academic side fool you my lessons are relaxed, friendly and practical. We'll laugh a lot and focus on the real conversations that matter to you.
I especially love working with:

Do I need to know any Slovak already?
Not a word. Many of my students start as complete beginners. If you already know some say from a Slovak parent or partner we will pick up right where you are.
How do the lessons work?
We meet online over video call, one-to-one. Every lesson is interactive and built around you: your goals, your pace, and the real situations you want to use Slovak in.
I am learning for my partner's family. Can you help with that?
Absolutely. We will focus on the real conversations you will have: greetings, family gatherings, traditions, and the little phrases that win hearts.
What if I am nervous or have tried before and given up?
You are in exactly the right place. My lessons are warm and pressure-free, no being made to feel silly, ever. We go at your speed and celebrate small wins.
What is your cancellation policy?
For paid lessons, please give at least 24 hours notice if you need to reschedule or cancel. Lessons cancelled with less than 24 hours notice are counted as taken, since that time was reserved for you.
How do I book?
